Today we'll talk about shopping. Have you ever gone on a shopping spree?

Teenage shopping habits are commonly stereotyped on television and in the media, but not as often examined intensely. Every teen is thought to love shopping for clothes and spending money at the mall as frequently as possible, but is this actually true? Do teens actually enjoy shopping more than other age groups, or is this just a misconception? There are numerous teenage shopping habits that, as a teen, learning more about can help you on your next trip to the mall!

Let's read this article to find out what research has to say!

... and here's an all time classic. Let's sing to it!

We connect with the Global class in Canada!

A few days ago we connected with Mrs Esther's Enriched English class from Canada. We loved sharing information with them about their school and we realised that we have a lot in common. What was really impressive about  is that students of 83 different nationalities attend their school!!!  Even Mrs Esther is of Greek origin!
We really enjoyed meeting you, everyone!

ANTARCTICA calling Winners Education!!!

Our class communicates with The Amudsen-Scott station in the South Pole!
Johan, one of the scientists working in the station is open to our questions!
Here's some of the information he has sent us so far:

.... Due to our remote
location, actual telecommunications are problematic (though not
completely impossible), but we do welcome email correspondence.
The most frequent type of interaction that we have is more of a one-off,
where classes that are studying Antarctica put together a list of
questions, which we answer......

.....We are, by the way, scheduled to "open" tomorrow, though

the weather suggest that we may be a few days behind
schedule.  The temps are warm enough, but we've got high
winds and low visibility.

...and here are some photos of the station that Johan sent us....

It must be quite exciting to live and work in Antarctica, don't you agree?
So, what more would you like to learn about the conditions there?

  • Match the headings as you go. Look for synonyms of the heading words or ideas in the text.
